Part Summaries
- Part I — detaining the wedding guest, and shooting the albatross
- Part II — the sea becalmed, slimy things, no water, albatross hung around the mariner's neck
- Part III — the skeleton ship arrives, Life-in-Death wins the Mariner, and the crew die
- Part IV — the Mariner is being punished with Life-in-Death experience, but unconsciously breaks the curse by blessing the water snakes around his boat and the Albatross falls from his neck. [BS]
- Part V — the Mariner receives relief from punishment but is still caught between spiritual and physical realms of reality. [BS]
